Parsons School of Design graduate Amy Crookes launched her namesake label in New York in 2018. Known for her psychedelic patterns and shirring techniques, the designer experiments with motifs and materials to create idiosyncratic pieces awash with the hypnotic persuasion of the impressionist paintings that provide inspiration. Jewel-toned graphics take on an optical illusion quality when featured on the label’s slingback pumps and towering thigh-high boots. Curved lines and dramatic proportions conspire to form theatrical silhouettes, which are elongated by pointed toes, elevated with kitten heels, and adorned with flirtatious ruffled edges. Amy Crookes’ seductive shapes and dazzling color palette are a mischievous addition to any outfit.
