Bali-based Akoia produces sustainable crochet swimwear and apparel handcrafted by local female artisans. A homegrown passion project, the label was originally established in 2014 by three 14-year-old friends looking to expand their limited beachwear options. Now designed by founders Inka Williams and Reo Palmer, Akoia's dresses, bikinis, and one-piece swimsuits are made from naturally dyed and locally sourced organic cotton—manifesting its eco-friendly, slow-fashion framework. Available in a range of muted colors and patterns, garments feature traditional crocheting techniques that ensure exquisite quality, authentic designs, and natural comfort.
