_J.L - A.L_ is a technical menswear label created by Jean-Luc Ambridge Lavelle. The project began in 2020 when the London-based designer used his rudimentary sewing knowledge and self-taught pattern-making skills to create a selection of functional and inventive outerwear. The brand’s selection of sleek jackets, sweaters, and trousers are predominantly made from three-ply textiles for optimal durability and include features like taped seams, zippered vents, and carefully placed pockets for maximum convenience. Fusing straightforward utility with experimental design, _J.L - A.L_ makes fashion statements that are intricate yet highly wearable.
