AURALEE JACKETS for Men
AURALEE is less an exploration of structural extravagance or brand narrative as it is an exploration of material nuance. Designer Ryota Iwai’s clear sensibility for silhouette has been visible in every collection since the brand’s launch in 2015. His mix of denim, casual suiting, and tailored menswear staples is easily grasped, while his interest in textile design and production standards imbues AURALEE with a refreshing honesty. Iwai’s insistence on maintaining a close rapport with his suppliers yields one-of-a-kind fabrics composed of carefully-sourced wool and cotton fibers, resulting in clothing that flatters indiscriminately and, by dint of its tasteful coloration, draws attention at any distance. AURALEE not only elevates the pleasingly quotidian in the quietly glamorous, but showcases intentionality at its finest.AURALEE is less an exploration of structural extravagance or brand narrative as it is an exploration of material nuance.
