DI PETSA employs age-old couture techniques to create ultramodern womenswear anchored in the archetypal wisdom of ancient Greek myths. Motivated by a desire to liberate the wearer from shame around bodily fluids, Greek designer Dimitra Petsa launched the label with the “wet dress,” a hybrid of a bodycon mini and a flowing, ethereal shift. Wetness is the focus of DI PETSA’s collections—a motif expressed sartorially via stretchiness, translucence, and draping in tones of white, blue, and glistening metallics. Fantastical dresses, tops, and skirts are joined by edgy printed pieces that express a reverence for nature and water in their botanical and typographical designs. Like the ocean it is inspired by, DI PETSA holds a sense of infinite possibility for fashion, emerging as a force for female empowerment through radical self-acceptance.
