Former competitive surfers and longtime friends Marc Moore, Luke Hardwood, and Dan Gosling founded New Zealand-based men’s streetwear label Stolen Girlfriends Club based on a mutual desire to create the clothes they wanted to wear but were unable to find on the market. After collaborating on an art show, titled ‘Stolen Girlfriends Club supported by Gosling and Harwood,’ the trio began printing their works on a series of t-shirts before expanding the line to include ready-to-wear, accessories, and jewelry. Self-professed music junkies, the designers channel the irreverent attitudes of myriad musical subcultures, from punk to rock ‘n’ roll, into their range of bold slogan t-shirts, graphic hoodies, and sweatshirts. Casually tailored shirts and trousers, a selection of gold and sterling silver jewelry, and small leather goods complement Stolen Girlfriends Club’s grunge-inflected aesthetic.
