Looking at skateboarding and surfing cultures, and the many fashion labels that service them, Paris-based rare car dealer Arthur Kar pondered the lack of any equivalent for automobile enthusiasts. In 2017, he launched KAR / L'Art de L'Automobile as a way of finally bridging this missing link. Now perhaps the world’s most famous “used car salesman”, counting many high-profile music and fashion figures among his clientele, Kar spent his formative years washing cars, then working as a mechanic at a Porsche dealership before building his empire.
