After directing a fashion show at his alma mater in 2016, South Korean-based designer Kim Sun Il was inspired to develop Oct31 to modernize traditional fashion through a range of sophisticated and revisionist garments. By deconstructing classic silhouettes and reforming them with oversized, structured cuts, the collection demonstrates avant-garde artistry while remaining approachable. Reworked corporate staples like wool peacoats, blazers, and trousers are coordinated in monochromatic sets and embellished sparingly with functional details. Neutral beiges, creams, and heather greys combine with bolder blacks, browns, and greens to create a signature palette of earthy, dreamy hues. Oct31’s innovations in form define a new direction for contemporary womenswear.
