Brooklyn label Theophilio offers spirited ready-to-wear that embraces founder Edvin Thompson's Jamaican-American roots. Established in 2016, Theophilio allows Black creatives to share their stories via an assortment of bold garments ranging from structured leather jackets to formfitting mesh bodysuits and netted shirts. The label pays homage to a melting pot of influences, such as dancehall and the designer's own childhood experiences, with vibrant hues, prints, and colorways inspired by Jamaican culture. Additionally, each piece is constructed using upcycled and responsibly sourced materials. A celebration of Black identity and the Caribbean diaspora, Theophilio designs statement pieces for daring fashion enthusiasts.
