Noir Kei Ninomiya pares down and deconstructs iconic Moncler ready-to-wear staples in subdued monochromatic grandeur, adding perforated detailing, lace-up trim, unconventional tailoring and playfully altered puffer proportions. Achieving a sense of the dark sublime and space, the designer's imagination pulls the adventurous ethos of Moncler into uncharted, invigorating new territories. Simone Rocha’s contributions juxtapose old world formal elements like ruffled trim, and floral and lace fringe, as well as the inveterate leg-of-mutton sleeve, achieving a hitherto unseen blend of classicism and contemporary athleisure, post-normcore utilitarianism.
