When Ennio Capasa founded Costume National in Milan in 1986, he had just returned from a stint at an iconic Japanese fashion house. Avant-garde elements, tuxedo-inspired ensembles for women, a commitment to dark colors and luxe finishing have been the hallmarks of the house since its inception. For men, separates in subdued colors are given supremely tasteful treatments.
