Parsons School of Design alumnus Heron Preston is a Renaissance man. Following a move to New York, the San Francisco-born designer, DJ, and artist launched his career alongside 1017 ALYX 9SM’s Matthew Williams and Off-White’s Virgil Abloh with the art direction and streetwear collective Been Trill. After the release of his coveted NASCAR T-shirt, which reinterpreted iconic trademarks into an over-branded visual feast, Preston was inspired to further explore the value and meaning of authenticity in today’s sartorial landscape. Preston’s eponymous streetwear label, launched in 2016, propels his unique worldview with a reference-rich collection steeped in internet, youth, and counterfeit culture.
