Repossi got its start in 1920 in Turin, when founder Constantino Repossi took over his father’s fine jewelry atelier and began producing Art Deco and avant-garde designs that captured the Modernist energy of postwar Italy. Passed on through successive generations of the family, the line came under the direction of current head designer Gaia Repossi in 2007. Taking inspiration from the Brutalist, Minimalist, and Bauhaus movements as well as the art of Cy Twombly, Richard Serra, and Le Corbusier, Repossi’s designs maintain an austere elegance influenced by architecture and contemporary sculpture. Signature pieces like her minimalist Berbere ear cuffs and multi-band rings in rose gold, black gold, and diamonds direct the craft of a historical atelier towards a modern understanding of fine jewelry.
