Seoul-born designer Bajowoo saw a punk show in the sixth grade and was captivated for life. In 2012, he took his aesthetic obsession to the next level, launching ready-to-wear label 99%IS- while still in his second year of design school at ESMOD in Tokyo. The brand has become known for its punk and futuristic interpretation of street fashion, with pieces like rave-style jeans with D-rings along the outseams, shag cardigans with safety pin accents, and graphic-heavy T-shirts. Alternative and contemporary, 99%IS- delivers an underground wardrobe with a sartorial treatment.
