Launched by designer Bonbom Jo in 2020, Seoul-based BONBOM synthesizes historical and contemporary influences to create subversive womenswear. Putting high-fashion tailoring in the service of a fluid aesthetic, the brand finds a happy medium between couture and streetwear sensibilities, with architectural shapes and tongue-in-cheek details. Skintight tank tops, shorts, and T-shirts cut from mesh or stretch jersey nod to sportswear, while lace-up detailing, nano purses, and all-over monogram prints recall the early aughts.
