Bernhard Willhelm PANTS for Women
German-born, Los Angeles–based Bernhard Willhelm created his eponymous label in 1999 with a debut collection both playful and experimental—two qualities that remain quintessential to a Bernhard Willhelm design, along with seasoned craftsmanship and an ironic sense of humor. Replete with satirical references to pop culture, the label often takes aesthetic cues from rave kids, athleisure, and the traditional folkloric costumes of Willhelm’s native country, combining them to create refreshing takes on contemporary fashion. Adapting to fashion’s ever-changing landscape, the label stays true to its spirited ethos with a collection of velour tracksuits in avant-garde cuts and a selection of skirts, T-shirts, and accessories with whimsical prints. Enlivening and absurdist, Bernhard Willhelm urges fashion to take itself less seriously and have a little fun.German-born, Los Angeles–based Bernhard Willhelm created his eponymous label in 1999 with a debut collection both playful and experimental—two qualities that remain quintessential to a Bernhard Willhelm design, along with seasoned craftsmanship and an ironic sense of humor.
