Central Saint Martins graduate Juntae Kim debuted his namesake label in 2022 with a striking collection of gender-fluid garments. Inspired by ‘70s punk and classic tailoring, the label prioritizes carefully placed details and heavy-duty textiles. Zippers and slashes add rebellious finishes to trousers, outerwear, and overshirts, which accompany Cuban-heeled boots and the brand’s signature berets. Western-style yokes and cinch straps nod to traditional menswear, while bow appliqués and cutouts soften denim, nylon, and jersey. Combining anachronistic references with a gender-bending impulse, Juntae Kim disrupts contemporary menswear with its singular stylistic vision.
