Aguilar, a mother herself, weaves the wonder of childhood into her creative work, observing the world with an alert and curious eye. This playful curiosity translates into bold colorblocked jumpsuits, frilly skirts, striped shorts, and a mélange of vibrant knitwear ensembles. Underlying Aguilar’s authentic point-of-view is her awareness of a child’s need for comfort and expression. Cotton is Aguilar’s primary material and is woven throughout the collection in tulle skirt linings, striped cardigans, and plush socks.
