Praying SWEATPANTS

Praying was founded in 2020 by friends Alex Haddad and Skylar Newman, who resided in Los Angeles and New York respectively at the time of the label’s conception. While it began as a low-key pet project appealing to their inner circle, the label’s articulation of post-post irony quickly amassed a cult following. Praying specializes in straightforward pieces with ambiguous slogans and oblique cultural references. Across a range of T-shirts, caps, and handbags, the label flexes the versatility of its deadpan aesthetic. Preppy polos clash with metalhead graphics and macabre imagery, creating an appealingly unpredictable atmosphere. Palpably assured in its reference points—no matter how obscure they may be to outside parties—Praying translates its if-you-know-you-know attitude into engaging menswear.
