Georgian designer Aleksandre Akhalkatsishvili launched his eponymous label in 2018. Embracing a philosophy of deconstructive minimalism, Aleksandre Akhalkatsishvili creates ultratailored pieces with simple silhouettes, proposing shapes defined subtly by blending straight-line cuts with draping fabric. The label revisits fabrics and cuts from the early ʼ00s with experimental, trend-forward designs aimed at self-assured twenty-first-century women. Brightly colored blazers, outerwear, skirts, gathered dresses, and trousers are exclusively tailored in Tbilisi, Georgia, using vegan leather and natural fabrics like wool and silk. Aleksandre Akhalkatsishvili’s striking pieces come together with clean, sharp lines and a delicate combination of masculine and feminine features.
