Thamanyah COATS

Thamanyah grew out of designer Ahmed Abdelrahman's desire to create a kandora, a traditional Middle Eastern men's garment, which he could wear while traveling outside his native Dubai. The sophistication of his resulting designs caught the eye of Rick Owens muse Michele Lamy, and the first Thamanyah collection was launched in Paris in 2011. Named for the Arabic word for "eight," the now unisex line adapts Middle Eastern modes of dress to the world of international fashion, with a respect for their cultural, spiritual, and historical weight. A supreme attention to craft and fabric quality anchors challenging yet refined designs.
