Actor James Franco and designer Kyle Lindgren—taking experience from stints at Fucking Awesome and Madhappy—pooled their expertise in storytelling, drawing, and streetwear design to found PALY in 2023. The line sees clothing as a canvas for sharing the gritty, curious lore of a bygone Hollywood era through a collage of excerpts, photographs, and Franco’s own scribbled sketches. Thoughtfully selected fabrics are cut into relaxed styles that are hand-dyed and distressed to achieve the desired worn-out look. Hollywood’s very own, PALY does ready-to-wear with a quintessential California-punk feel.
