Programmer-turned-designer Sean Kim launched Brooklyn-based Wooj in 2020 to deliver low-waste alternatives to mass-produced home goods. Designed, 3D printed, and assembled entirely in-house, the boutique studio’s bespoke household fixtures put sustainability on par with looks, using biodegradable materials like corn-based plastic that can be easily disassembled, recycled, and composted at the end of its lifecycle. The brand’s eccentric yet crisp aesthetic is embodied by its signature Wavy Lamp, with an undulating and pleated silhouette inspired by the comb jellies found in the Pacific Ocean. Marrying the automatic with the artisanal, Wooj offers innovative premium decor for eco-conscious interiors.
