Gohar World SERVEWARE
In 2020, sisters Laila and Nadia Gohar launched Gohar World, a New York–based tableware universe that fuses old-world craft with a surreal sense of play. Drawing on their Egyptian heritage and a reverence for ritual, the Gohars create objects that are both ornamental and offbeat, like lace-trimmed rubber gloves and aprons with a foil-like shine. Designed in their Manhattan studio and produced by family-run ateliers, each piece reimagines the domestic sphere with wit and wonder, transforming everyday moments into something uncanny, opulent, and oddly timeless.
