Founded by Jacob Winter and Franki Peroff, Mush Studios designs surrealist rugs that imbue the home with a sense of play. The duo established their New York-based label in 2020, creating tufted New Zealand-wool rugs in a variety of dreamy styles and colors for interiors both big and small. Inspired by a mixture of childhood imaginings and happy accidents, the label creates experimental pieces that evoke the early aughts. Mush Studios’s designs—each of which is sustainably crafted by artisans in India—are characterized by simple, fluid shapes and a distinctively sensory quality.
