Frustrated by the sheer volume of waste produced by the fashion industry, Australian designer Charlotte Hicks founded Esse Studios in 2017 to produce thoughtful, long-lasting womenswear. The University of Technology Sydney graduate spent several years working for labels such as Zimmermann and Sass & Bide, carrying her expertise into her sustainable line of minimal wears.
