Y's For Men TOPS for Men
Globally celebrated Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto debuted his first foray into menswear, Y’s For Men, in 1979, expanding the reach of the Y’s universe. The diffusion line adopts Yamamoto’s meticulous tailoring and expert pattern-cutting methods. Characterized by the designer’s singular avant-garde approach, collections combine military and workwear influences in dignified cuts that acknowledge the affective space existing between clothing and its wearer. Contrasting textures like heavy twill paired with silky, voluminous satin add visual interest to tailored blazers, flared trousers, and crisp workwear shirts—all rendered in the brand’s signature monochromatic black. Presenting practical solutions for everyday wear, Y’s For Men’s timeless styles offer minimalist luxury with universal appeal.Globally celebrated Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto debuted his first foray into menswear, Y’s For Men, in 1979, expanding the reach of the Y’s universe.
