Miscellaneous by nature, temporary.company is a cradle for the creative exploits of founder Ben Fainlight. The Los Angeles–based label’s foray into homeware came when Fainlight tasked himself with giving furniture the “streetwearification” treatment. In the same way that streetwear flips a runway look on its head, the brand dissects and reimagines iconic furniture designs like Pierre Jeanneret’s mid-century Easy Chair—democratizing it for a broader audience. The easily accessible pieces are 3D printed, made in vibrant colors, and dismantled into components that can be flat-packed and easily assembled. Channeling an ingenuity befitting the open-access spirit of today, temporary.company crafts original, creative goods for the everyman.
