Brain Dead KIDS
Spearheaded by Kyle Ng, Brain Dead is both a creative collective and streetwear brand. Although based in Los Angeles, the label is comprised of artists and designers from around the globe who share an interest in the disruptive and provocative. With an inclination towards subversion, Brain Dead draws inspiration from skateboarding, post-punk, and comic book subcultures.The spirit of counterculture plays a dominant role in Brain Dead’s overarching aesthetic, with a DIY ethos resonating throughout its offering. T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, lounge pants, caps, and totes are emblazoned with logos and pastiche-like graphics—not unlike the collage-inspired aesthetic found on band-flyers handed out at underground punk shows. Offering more than just menswear, the collective is also invested in creating functional ceramic housewares and pet accessories. Brain Dead presents itself as a lifestyle brand, one whose pieces are united through its insurgent graphic-led approach.
