Launched in 2020, homespun ready-to-wear label Talia Byre quickly defined its niche with its collections of subtly deconstructed knitwear. Central Saint Martins graduate Talia Lipkin-Connor first started the brand from her Manchester home, taking cues from her family’s long history in the fashion industry to create a line of distinctive womenswear staples upgraded by care-driven experimentation. The label’s collaged knitwear—including cropped cardigans, pencil skirts, and body-hugging bottoms—is hand-built with deadstock fabric before being hand-dyed using natural materials like walnut husks to achieve eye-catching pinks, lilacs, and acid greens. With its discerning, playful approach, Talia Byre crafts womenswear ripe for the contemporary.
