WOOYOUNGMI CLOTHING for Women
Recognized as the first female ready-to-wear menswear designer in her native South Korea, Woo Young Mi, also known as Madame Woo, launched her eponymous label in 2002. Architectural silhouettes, subtle detailing, and minimalist, gender-fluid designs define the brand’s signature style, which has received a modern update since Katie Chung, Madame Woo’s daughter, joined the brand as creative director in 2014. In a winsome fusion of romance and functionality, cropped bomber jackets, mohair balaclavas, and chunky boots complement boxy knit sweaters, flared trousers in chalky pastels, and understated yet offbeat jewelry. Shrewd and luxurious, WOOYOUNGMI’s collections bring a clever sophistication to contemporary womenswear.Recognized as the first female ready-to-wear menswear designer in her native South Korea, Woo Young Mi, also known as Madame Woo, launched her eponymous label in 2002.
