Having worked as a gardener, woodworker, and designer, Brixton-based Joe Lauder founded his lifestyle brand Satta in 2014 to recenter ritual in daily life. Taking its name from the Sanskrit word for existence, Satta applies a focused design vocabulary to its diverse line of lifestyle accessories. Organically sourced cotton and hemp-based clothing is produced in small batches and takes cues from skateboard culture, with straight-leg chinos, puffer jackets, and elasticized cord caps built for utility. Hand-rolled sage and copal incense sticks and homewares in muted earth tones facilitate reconnection with the natural world.
