Jean Paul Gaultier TROUSERS for Women
Jean Paul Gaultier took his seat as the enfant terrible of the fashion world with the launch of his namesake label in 1976. Gaultier was true to his inclusive, genre-defying vision from the start, emboldened by his time working under avant-garde designer Pierre Cardin. In the half century since its launch, the house has delivered countless iconic designs—both ready-to-wear and haute couture—with an unmistakable aesthetic signature blending sensuality, theatricality, glamour, and grunge. Following Gaultier’s retirement in 2020, a rotating cast of designers assumed creative control before Belgian designer Duran Lantink was named creative director. Echoing his predecessor’s fusion of humor and glamour, Lantink’s Jean Paul Gaultier is defined by sculptural silhouettes, trompe l’oeil patterns, and playful accessories.Jean Paul Gaultier took his seat as the enfant terrible of the fashion world with the launch of his namesake label in 1976.
