doublet SWEATPANTS for Men
In 2012, designer Masayuki Ino teamed up with contemporary artist and pattern maker Takashi Murakami to establish streetwear imprint doublet. Conceived as a line of "daily wear with a feel of disorder," the cult-favorite Japanese label injects menswear basics with a unique combination of novelty and subversion. A mishmash of disparate subcultural references, from '80s punk to all-American varsity teams, unite in the brand’s selection of deconstructed and reconstructed menswear separates. Oversized graphic T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and intarsia sweaters express Ino’s biting sense of humor through a series of bold pop culture-inspired imagery, brash slogans, and tongue-in-cheek logo flips, while sukajan-inspired embroidered bomber jackets, selvedge denim jeans, and denim jackets merge elements of Eastern and Western aesthetics. In 2012, designer Masayuki Ino teamed up with contemporary artist and pattern maker Takashi Murakami to establish streetwear imprint doublet.
