Paris-based VAILLANT makes ornate yet sinuous garments that evoke ballet’s seamless marriage of structure and fluidity. Established in 2019 by former dancer Alice Vaillant, the label is rooted in a mixture of vulnerability, poetry, and sensuality. VAILLANT offers asymmetric and deconstructed attire with bold patterns and structures. Reminiscent of ballet costuming, its pieces are flowing and sumptuous thanks to French savoir-faire techniques like smocking, patchwork, and lace. Made mainly from deadstock fabrics, the label’s tops, dresses, trousers, and accessories are crafted with motion in mind, offering precise tailoring, everyday wear, and evening ensembles.
