Sinéad O’Dwyer launched her London-based eponymous label in 2018 with unorthodox designs that accommodate non-sample-size bodies and challenge industry beauty standards. The Irish designer began developing her now-signature casting process during her studies in fashion design at London’s Royal College of Art. She produced flat silicone casts and created the three-dimensional pieces that would characterize her ready-to-wear label. Sinéad O’Dwyer proposes an aesthetic that is at once delicate and dominant. Hand-interlaced tights and dresses feature frilled detailing, Crystal embellishments adorn skin-hugging silicone bras, and denim pants are hand-printed with mud marks and botanical shapes.
