COTODAMA
COTODAMA—Japanese for "soul of words"—channels sight and sound with its luxe offering of multimedia wireless speakers. Founded in 2016 by Jin Saito, the Tokyo label works with skilled sound designers to engineer novel devices, ranging from robust cabinets to discrete baffle speakers resembling vinyl displays that provide a unique audiovisual experience for discerning listeners. With the company's music visualizing technology, the speakers display in real time the lyrics of any song from a database of over 2 million tracks, with visuals varying by tempo and mood. For noncompatible songs, speakers display geometric patterns that synchronize with the song's pace. Each device is handmade by Japanese artisans using premium materials.
