Founded by southern California natives Joshua and Jacob Willis and their friend Anthony Franco in 2013, skate and surf-culture inspired brand Second/Layer has become adept at producing styles that fuse an authentic West Coast feel with clean lines and suave silhouettes. As the name suggests, the label strives to create menswear that acts as an effortless extension of the wearer’s identity, rather than relying on ever-changing sartorial trends. The resulting range of urbane essentials tempers the youthful energy of streetwear with subtle hues and luxurious fabrics. Stark script embellishes relaxed loungewear, while band tour-inspired logo graphics enliven pullovers and t-shirts.
