Ascendant young Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov established his namesake label for Spring/Summer 2016, with the launch of a directional ready-to-wear collection heavily influenced by uniforms and workwear. Following the sweeping acclaim of his debut, the Central Saint Martins graduate quickly established his brand as one-to-watch, with unconventional pattern-cutting, intricate garment construction, and sleek tailoring as his signatures. In addition to being named one of Forbes Europe’s 30 Under 30 in the arts, Kostadinov was appointed creative director of luxury heritage brand Mackintosh’s 0001 capsule line, elevating its timeless rainwear with a dose of his streamlined conceptualism, and has collaborated with sportswear stalwart ASICS on a line of sought-after sneakers. Kostadinov's selection of womenswear continues to develop the stark visual narrative explored throughout his menswear collections, through the use of androgynous cuts, achromatic tones, asymmetric silhouettes, and utilitarian accents.
