Sportswear giant Reebok has joined with Ben Cottrell and Matthew Dainty’s avant-garde menswear label Cottweiler for a line of visionary minimalist-futurist garments. Debuted as the Designer Project at Pitti Uomo 91, the inaugural FW17 collection re-imagines Reebok’s performance materials within the meticulously understated ‘wellness-wear’ aesthetic of Cottweiler. Rendered in a clean, monochromatic white and navy palate with subdued color detailing, the collection's clothing, accessories and footwear blend seamlessly in a holistic oneness. Tops conform to a monastic neckline of stand collars and turtlenecks. Unique materials promote health and regeneration - copper fiber lines base layers and jackets are constructed of de-bossed foam, while sneakers feature transparent particle embedded gum soles, recalling the healing powers of medicinal salts. Blending the therapeutic with the sublime, Reebok x Cottweiler puts forth a collection both timeless and technical.
