Some Ware

Los Angeles streetwear label Some Ware takes a distinctive graphic and typography-based approach to the world of women’s ready-to-wear, evoking a unique spirit of multidisciplinary creativity. Magazine mogul Brendan Fowler and design veteran Cali Thornhill DeWitt launched the label's first collection in 2016, hoping to explore shared interests in identity-making, reception, and inclusivity, in addition to how their disparate experiences and aesthetic pedigrees might transpose into fashion. The resulting visual identity takes shape in vividly conceptual garments. Ingenious image and text placement de-centers old t-shirt tropes, while an ethos of capsule collections and collaborations—like Sony Sombreuil’s Come Tees—issued in small runs ensures freshness and instant coveted status. Boxy cut jersey essentials are made with 100% recycled cotton, while eco-friendly garment-dyeing techniques bring an already-worn look to pieces that are intended to stand the test of time. Some Ware’s commitment to inclusivity is evident in the unisex One Size Fits Everyone New Body T-Shirt, solidifying its ethos of making clothes that have a reason to exist.
