Driven by the spirit of defiance and disruption, New York designer Alexander Wang unites with German athleticwear giant adidas Originals for a dynamic collaboration that opposes industry conventions, blurring the boundaries between high fashion and streetwear. Inspired by bootleg culture, adidas Originals by Alexander Wang’s line of unisex apparel and footwear subverts the immediacy of adidas’ iconography, inverting and deconstructing the sportswear brand’s Trefoil logo and emblematic 3-stripes. Signature soccer jersey t-shirts, track jackets, and track pants are revamped with an irreverent all-over logo pattern, while premium cotton fleece sweatshirts, sweatpants, and shorts feature artfully reconstructed silhouettes and unexpected textures. Reversible bomber jackets and windbreakers are crafted in unorthodox fabrics and finished with an upside-down logo. Vintage-inspired sneakers, including Wang’s low-top Skate and high-top BBall styles, round out the collection of unconventional separates.
