Georgia Alice

Buoyed by the liberty to curate her own womenswear universe, New Zealand designer Georgia Alice Currie’s refined tailoring concurrently evokes a masculine aesthetic, a feminine essence, and a progressive philosophy. She has artfully extracted these core components since founding her eponymous ready-to-wear label in 2013, distilling them into stripped-down silhouettes that introduce a poignant austerity to the modern woman's wardrobe. Permeating this easefulness with premium textiles yields luxe interpretations of sartorial classics. The Georgia Alice aesthetic is based on what Currie herself wanted to wear, but couldn’t find during her Christchurch fashion school years and her time working under former Ksubi design director Therese Rawsthorne. Consequently she amalgamated her first love, suiting, with bold textures and feminine essentials like slip dresses, miniskirts, and blouses, informing a powerful but pared-back elegance. Leather and wool-blend blazers, a selection of loosely tailored trousers and button-down shirts are archetypal "Georgia Alice girl" sartorial preferences, allowing her to look how she wants to feel: strong, independent, and at ease in the modern world.
