Thailand-born, Nebraska-raised designer, Thakoon Panichgul, launched his debut eponymous womenswear label in 2004 at the age of 29. The Parsons School of Design graduate showed a ten-piece presentation of metallic taffeta skirts, beige separates and ribbon-tie jackets and immediately became a fashion favorite of editors, stylists and fashion icons like Rachel Bilson, Michelle Obama and Sarah Jessica Parker. Timeless feminine designs that are romantic and sensual yet modern and innovative, Panichgul is known for his intricate detail and ethereal style that consistently nods to his Asian heritage.
