About HUSSEIN CHALAYAN
Born in Nicosia, Cyprus, Hussein Chalayan graduated from Central St. Martins College of Art and Design in 1993. A year later, his collection debuted at London Fashion Week to critical acclaim. Chalayan has participated in numerous exhibitions worldwide and has succeeded in working both commercially and conceptually, designing costumes for opera, dance, film and installation work as well as in the fashion industry. He has routinely collaborated across disciplines with industrial designers, musicians, jewelers and textile designers.
