Radical conceptual designer, Martin Margiela, has not given an interview or made a public appearance since founding his namesake couture house in 1988. Yet his intellectual collections have nevertheless come to symbolize a rarefied brand of avant-garde, international cool. Women's line, MM6, features his distressed fabrics and deconstructed statement silhouettes: styles that continue to push the boundaries while spawning legions of imitators.
