To commemorate their first womenswear show this past month at Pitti W in Florence, Maison Kitsune’s Gildas Loaec and Masaya Kuroki have released an exclusive video of their Fall 13 presentation. Show Business, staged as a TV taping that blended live music and fashion, was a nod to the Maison’s own core values. Directed by fashion filmmaker Loic Prigent, the show featured live performances from Kitsune-signed artists Say LouLou, Yelle, Eli & Fur, and Citizens!, all dressed in looks from the Fall 13 collections. They showcased their typically classic vision with a subtle 60s influence: the women wore high-waisted A-line skirts, modest Peter Pan collars, and printed rompers while the men sported dapper patch-pocket suits, ties and penny loafers. Each artist performed a single from their latest EP, released on Kitsune in 2012, providing a survey of both current Kitsune catalogues.
