Diane von Furstenberg has released video footage from New York Fashion Week, recorded exclusively with Google Glass augmented reality glasses, which launched on Youtube and Google+ in April of this year. The glasses, which can take images, record video and receive messages, premiered at von Furstenberg's Spring 13 runway presentation last week in New York, where models wearing Google Glass captured video footage of Fashion Week from an insider perspective.
The video, narrated by von Furstenberg, includes clips shot by the legendary designer and her models, providing a look at the inner workings of Fashion Week, from fittings, to backstage, to the runway show itself. Each pair of glasses was re-branded in correlation with von Furstenberg's spring collection, presented in matching shades of coral, blue, white and grey. Google Glass is expected to be available to the public in 2014.
