Tel Aviv-based DJ/producer Yarin Lidor has only recently burst onto the scene, and is quickly making a name for himself as one of the industry’s up-and-coming post-R&B and lovetrap DJs and remixers, among of-the-moment names like BEAR//FACE, Taquwami and Andrea. Lidor first started throwing successful parties in Tel Aviv, and soon began releasing his mixes and reworks independently on Soundcloud. He has garnered a cult following for his remix of Jeremih’s Birthday Sex, and recent edit of Rui Da Silva’s seminal progressive house cut Touch Me, both of which appear on this exclusive mix for SSENSE.
Lidor’s mix opens with a spaced-out, echoing track from San Francisco producer Thriftworks, followed up by Sivey’s slow burn edit of Frank Ocean’s hit, Pink Matter, and Branchez’s bootleg of Rihanna’s Stay. Pulling in elements of trap, future-bass, hip-hop and garage, Lidor’s mix includes offerings from Ruddyp, Cashmere Cat, Ta-Ku, Carling Ruse, and Sweater Beats.
