YMC’s collection harkens back to the harsh but simpler times of early 20th century, when clothes were basic, classic and made to last. Inspired by European and American workwear from the Great Depression, the menswear collection features traditional natural fabrics – cotton, flannel and wool mixes. Leather coats are lined with military blankets, hunting jackets are converted into knitted cardigans, whilst priest collars lend shirts an air of austerity. In true YMC style, attention to detail is paramount – chinos are tapered to a perfect fit; duffel coats are beautifully lined with shearling.
